Written by lifelong actor and creative writer Geoffrey Gould (that would be me...), First Time is a short dark comedy script with horror overtones, about a young man allowing a women over whom he is obsessed to use him to her own advantage.
I'd written it a couple of years earlier and had set it aside, and figured I should have it table-read at a We Make Movies writers' workshop night, and based on its reaction as to whether to submit it online to film festivals.
I figured Sam could be read (and eventually played by), longtime friend Michael Beardsley, who starred in, produced, and edited my award-winning written/directed short film Bucky.

While I was notified that First Time, as well as my unproduced Pact short script, were both Official Sections with the Romanian Wallachia International Film Festival, somehow their both winning somehow got past me.

I received word that not only did First Time win Best Short Script with the 8 & HalFilm Awards, but that I had been awarded as Best American Screenwriter!
