Don Allison
Our guest tonight, the first of the new decade, was
Don Allison,
author of
I Met a Ghost in Gettysburg.
Don looks forward to the "end" of the
CCP virus
so he can get back to traveling.
Henry
had Don discuss his
I Met a Ghost in Gettysburg
book, as well as whether Don's house had any Activity.
Don reported such started up strongly during restoration going on.
When he first moved in, he and his wife Diane had a young, feisty green-cheek conyer parrot Rusty; he reacts to the paranormal as much as he will with regular corporeal people.
Once the bird was intently focused on a corner of the dining room, which Don noted being Far Colder in that spot...
With the restoration, now lights come on on their own, once the paper shredder came on.
He'd set up a decorative Charlie Brown holiday tree on his desk, and on its own the li'l ornament fell off and shattered.
At one point he had to admonish the poltergeist activity when his mug was broken.
He began keeping track; he knows of one male, as they hear footsteps of heavy boots, all but a Shadow Figure as well; barefoot child footsteps can be heard, plus a young girl apparition, as well as a young woman apparition whose voice occasionally can be heard.
The house was built by a man named Perdue, a War of 1812 veteran.
Ceiling Cat Barbara Duncan
posited his writing a novel based on his ghosts.
A lot of static began creeping into the audio; he said to whatever ghosts might be nearby to behave...
He's agreed with his wife not to do an Official Investigation in their own home.
He has gotten responses on an
Ovilus,
but he hasn't done a full on investigation.
He spoke about using dowsing rods, albeit more for water seeking and such.
Don seems to be naturally talented, as is his grandson; his son... not so much...
After the break, CC conveyed tonight our having listeners in the US, the UK, and Germany.
Rusty was brought in, so we could hear him squawking, as Don indicated annually writing filksongs of Christmas Carols with topical lyrics.
As an aside, CC referenced his
Almost [Censored] Christmas Carols: Holiday Hilarity by Don Allison
book.
I
asked about
Gettysburg College
being haunted, having come across it on a
YouTube video
listing it.
He spoke about the basement having a timeslip; three students witnessed the cellar filled with a triage, make-shift hospital, but as I added, only visually.
The students reported there was No Sound from the scene they were witnessing.
We wrapped the show CC and Don still praising
mask wearing.
