Don Allison
Our guest tonight was
Don Allison,
author of
I Met a Ghost in Gettysburg.
Starting out, Don mentioned waiting out the Wuhan
CCP virus,
and
Henry
spoke about his new home's renovations and such.
Don explained first visiting
Gettysburg
for its history, and its re-enactments, in which he would participate, even working as a background artist in the feature film
Gettysburg.
He was one of a group invited to Washington DC for its premier.
Eventually he bought a house there after marrying his wife Dianne.
As Activity began occuring in their new home at first had him doubt his sanity, such as hearing footsteps of children, as mwell as heavy boots, etc.
Ceiling Cat Barbara Duncan
had Don discuss his earliest interest in Gettysburg; he was intrigued with
Little Round Top
from a very young age.
He spoke of the importance of each sides' Drummer Boys, their beat signifying troop movements and cadence, and even to formations.
Sadly, the young men were also targets, to prevent communication.
Don spoke of a horse-riding union-uniformed apparition across which he came
by the
Slyder Farm,
silently riding then suddenly vanishing.
Despite having a camera around his neck, Don was too astonished to think to get photos/video.
We discussed the rocky formation of
Devil's Den
and
Antietam
Henry conveyed his sighting of lit cigarettes; Don indicated something similar experienced at
Sachs Bridge.
CC wondered whether anyone had been hanged there, but Don attributes it to almost urban legend status.
After the break, CC conveyed tonight our having listeners in the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.
CC asked after Don's
green cheek conure
parrot Rusty being used for EVPs.
Don indicated at one point that daily in the mid-afternoon,
he would hear a young woman seemingly coughting, and that Rusty would imitate the cough.
Rusty would also play Peekaboo to something in the dining room no one else could see.
Once Don could hear the heavy boots walking.
Rusty's cage was by the door, and suddenly he began squawking big time, which was uncharacteristic.
Dianne saw some sort of attempt at a shadow person torso manifesting but it vanished quickly.
He spoke of the acquisition of his current house.
Don feels the house itself gives off a very positive vibe.
Don spoke of a recent investigation in Gettysburg, at the
Sanford House.
CC had him speak of his new book
Best of What's On My Mind
volume 2.
We wrapped the show with Henry and CC and Don all praising
mask wearing.
