Gail Offen and Jon Milan
Our guest tonight were authors Gail Offen and Jon Milan of Michigan Haunts; Public Places. Eerie Spaces.
After I did their rather minimalist bio, it was pointed out to me that Jon Milan's surname actually is pronounced MIE-lan, as opposed to the famous Italian city.
Henry referenced the start of the upcoming Dark Times. Ceiling Cat Barbara Duncan asked about whether Gail and Joe had investigated their Own Home. Jon stated that they did have some Activity there. The first thing they noted was banging from upstairs. Their upstairs tenant reported when going to the bathroom and Something had pushed him over onto the floor. Jon would hear running when he knew the tenant was out, and on checking he would find nothing. At was as though Something just wanted them to know Something was also there.
They spoke of the haunted Eloise Cemetery, at which Jon caught a ghost photo.
They spoke of Henry Ford's haunted home, the Majestic Theater, as well as the death of Houdini.
CC reported having listeners tonight in the US, the UK, Canada, Belgium, Spain, and Japan.
Jon started the second half of the show discussing the Dearborn Museum; their last live presentation was done there before the unlawful CCP virus Lockdowns. Apparently groups go there to do seances, and sometimes ouija board sessions. There a little Kongo Nail Figure that is said to run around the museum at night, thankfully not screaming a la the Zuni doll from Trilogy of Terror...
CC asked about lighthouse; Jon conveyed that Michigan has the most light houses of any state. One has a ghost who shows up, and tourists think it's a guide in period garb, but when they go to speak to him, he vanishes.
They discussed the Nain Rouge aka Red Dwarf of Detroit.
I did remember to ask the name of their little green bird: it's Hank Greenbird....
