Imagined

Fitting
A week or so earlier, my calling service called to clarify I'd be in town around Indendence Day, as via Rich King I could be needed July 3rd and 5th. This would have been great as being within the same week (Wednesday and Friday), surrounding July 4th, we would get paid for July 5th, a holiday aspect I'd not experienced before or since Along Came Polly.
I was contacted Tuesday the 27th for a next-day fitting at the Edith Head Costume Department building at Universal studios, but also told I would be working Wednesday the 3rd but not indication of working on the 5th, in fact indicating others working on the 5th but not the 3rd.
Rich King's recording indicated a daytime poolside party at a wealthy Beverly Hills former rock-star home, which I interpreted this as what is referrred as upscale casual.
It turned out, it was to be more than just casual upscale. When I arrived with my general upscale casual, I should have brought considerably more, such as my jacket, ties, et al. I confess it was considerably amateurish of me, and I apologized to the somewhat frustrated wardrobe ladies several times. I was early, as always, but I learned their department had a $2000 budget to dress a hundred people for this scene.
At first I thought this was a small independent film, but the PA who arrived with the vouchers, indicated the film, titled Imagined, was a bit over $16M, starring Al Pacino and Jennifer Garner (with whom I'd worked on Dude, Where's My Car?), and (written and) directed by Dan Fogelman, who's written a number of films I've enjoyed including but not limited to Crazy, Stupid Love and Bolt.
I promised to bring with me on the day the options I should have brought with me this day, though I was fitted with two of their options: a dark jacket and a different, very flowery Hawaiian type shirt.
As right from there I was headed to my storage unit "anyway," to pay for the next month, I brought back with me a small suitcase into which to bring with me that day, as well as for the upcoming Missouri Everything feature film shoot, as well as two to three probable commercials for Jeffery Williams.

Information
Based on the recorded call-in information, which wardrobe must have provided to Rich, I was not the only person to have misinterpreted and gone to the fitting less upscale as they'd wanted.
Varied calltimes, mine being 11am; the location was parking, to be shuttled to the undisclosed location.

Shoot
I arrived at the crew parking at the old Robinsons May parking structure near the Wilshire and Santa Monica Boulevards about 10:20am for my 11am calltime. I was able to have a good hot breakfast and didn't have to worry about the practice of Non-Deductable Breakfast (so that background is at the same time schedule as crew), only those prior to an 11am calltime had to deal with that.
I'd brought the additional options for wardrobe which, surprise surprise, the actual wardrobe designer thought What I Was Wearing was perfectly fine.
Being breakfasted and with my paperwork all filled out, and make-up providing me with sunscreen, we were loaded into mega-shuttles and brought 1.7 miles away to a home technically around the corner from the moderate, impressive while not overly opulate Beverly Hills mansion of sorts at which we were filming.

(Remember that I do not believe in providing storyline spoilers myself [such often currently and/or eventually being readily available Elsewhere notwithstanding]; in my report/s I generally convey indications of where most likely I can be seen.)

The scene was a house party for the lead, Pacino, playing Danny. Attending was also Gene Simmons and Christopher Plummer.
As often happens, I would be placed in a Good Spot, moved to being less visible, and moved again to be Even Better Than The First Placement. During one dolly shot (which, due to the speed of the camera on its track I presume was overcranked to be in context of the film a quick slow motion gag), could have a very nice if momentary close-up of me.
Always pleased to make new friends, particularly intelligent ones, I worked much of the day with Richard Jones, who earlier in life was nearly nomadic when it came to moving to have acting work. Living in New York, He was aware of the New Jersey Studio Playhouse; he'd also lived in Hawaii for a time. By the end of the long day, he and I connected on FB to stay in touch.
We were finally finished around 10:45 or so, but with 105 background performers and limited people-movers (which could only transport about 20 at a time), it took time getting back to the crew parking. By the time I got to the front of the line at 11:30, our sign-out time was 11:42. A bus phone app I utilize indicated the next bus I needed was in eight minutes (the next being over a half hour later). By the time I reached the stop, the bus showed up about three minutes previous to its expected arrival time, though thankfully the light stopped it for me to just manage to catch it, getting me home a hiccough past midnight.
Richard and I publically thanked Rich King for the gig, to which Rich King responded with thanks, and indicating he'd been told "everyone had looked great."
