Shoot
The buses were just cooperative that I was able to make my connection and get to the location by 10:45am for my 11am calltime.
As I arrived, they were filming from parking lot into one of the truck entrances one of the bits;
Chuy
all but wearing a pinata costume, persued by a group of little people.
I was directed to 2nd Ave
Travis
who escorted us inside when the other backgrounders had arrived.
After going through wardrobe and make-up
(my clothing options brought notwithstanding, I was good to go with my suit shirt and pants; no tie or jacket),
my hair was sprayed so it would stay down in the breeze and I got a bit of make-up.
Travis brought us to were taken to a Green Room holding where we generally introduced each other:
enthusiastic
Isaac Cheung
turned out to be a relative newbie to background,
fellow New Jerseyan
Alanna De Carlo,
and California born
Danielle McGill
who not only was upgraded to Day Player on the
Star Trek Into Darkness
sequel, but was upgraded
(or should be)
for this, as
(by
Chelsea
herself),
Danielle was given a verbal line to say, albeit just a single word, but it was still spoken aloud as directed.
The context was not explained to us, but considering the premise being "Chelsea's Move"
(we're purusing props and stuff she and Chuy are selling as a "yard sale" of sorts),
I surmise it must refer to her brilliant show
Chelsea Lately
being moved to a different time-slot or such.
I should have some good camera coverage, if only being Just Visible
(it always comes down to the editing).
We broke for lunch from 1:30-2, and all our stuff was done filming by about 4pm and we were signed out at 5pm.
It was smooth and easy going; Chelsea and Chuy are in real life as they are on the show: clearly best friends who can say Anything to each other without fear of offending the other.
I learned
Kelly Ryan
(today's Chelsea stand-in),
is greatly interested in
the paranormal,
I provided her with my card on which is information on my co-hosting
The Paranormal View
radio show.
Travis gratefully accepted my card for future reference, as did 1st AD
Jesse
as I was heading to the bus.
