Garfield-movie business model of self-promotion
The day before while waiting to be wrapped at the end of the day working on the
ESPN promo,
my calling service notified me I was booked for Friday for a
Car bon ite
commercial via Sande Alessi.
Now, one might notice deliberate "misspellings" herein; this is due to some Threatening Signage which ironically I could not resist having someone photography for me, so if any person who thinks promoting their project is a bad thing does a search, the key words won't come up.
These may be corrected when the commercial airs.
Maybe.
Similar to the publicist in the two
Garfield movies,
who was bafflingly clear she wanted the film/s to have zero promotion
(certainly by my li'l website),
this commercial does not want to be shown in any sort of promotional and/or positive light.
So its illogical stance nowithstanding
(and the fact they did not require us to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, so legally their signage is impotent),
until the commercial Actually Airs, I will only say I spent the day working on it, not that I need/ed to convey any storyline details
(I will risk indicating it's humourous).
Also working background on this project was my friend
Gary-7
from
Maiden and the Princess
and
Argo
et al,
and Missy from the
Arla
commercial and the
Charter
spots.
At the time I was staying near Western between Melrose and Beverly, so it was easy to get to and from the location at Wilshire and Berendo.
I had a 9:30am calltime, wrapped at 5:45pm with a vegan-derived "lunch" so I pretty much stuck with craft services for the day.
(Possibly)
more when the commercial hits the air...
