The Red Mill
The Red Mill Craig was out at a Live Investigation at the infamous Red Mill tonight.
When I got the video page up, there was a concert of sorts at the site, playing country music and such, having been moved inside due to the rain. The audio hookup was set as the show went live at Para X Vision, Henry was fine but then the show started and for a few moments his audio was really soft. Craig had indicated that video coverage had been on All Day.
From GhostSoldiers group, Pat McCormick came on with Henry, joking about Craig and the pouring rain. Pat spoke of the building's history from the 17th century with the Mulligan brothers. It is considered the Most Photographed Mill in the western hemisphere. There are ten buildings on the site, with multiple locations, with some fantastic stuff such as a recreated grocery store.
This was also the area at which Daniel Morgan the Swamp Fox fought the British as portrayed in The Patriot.
I pointed out to Henry that the video still had the musicians (channel 4), and they switched to channel 3 to showing Craig, at least for a moment.
At one point Henry suddenly did an "Uh oh," making the lot of us think he heard some voice or such, when Henry had only heard a bit of feedback none of us had heard.
They joked with Craig about having getting lost, unable to find the place once, but as he was able to find it this time, it was joked it was so easy to find, even Craig Rupp can find it...
Pat indicated at their GhostSoldiers website "on their Evidence Page," was some good solid stuff they'd previously captured. As always, I went to the page to find what direct link was the Evidence Page. Henry started to go to break when suddenly I started to hear what sounded like a promo being played. I mentioned this to Henry when it became clear that only I was hearing it... it wasn't a promo... it was an audio file auto-playing as I'd opened the GhostSoldiers page.
So a bit laugh was had now at my expense, as I mock-snarlingly closed the page, and Craig took us out to break. Meanwhile, alt+tabbing back to http://paraxvision.com/paraxvision2.html it was listed as Off The Air (it came back shortly after the first break).
Coming back, Henry reported our having listeners tonight in the US, UK, Canada, Finland and Australia.
I noticed at the Red Mill Museum website that they had the BlueGrass Concert listed for this date, and while it does convey that there would be a Para-X broadcast, its reference is quite cryptic: "Additionally, history will be made when The Para-X Network broadcasts live television from the grounds of the Red Mill throughout the evening. This broadcast can be viewed anywhere in the world by anyone having access to the Internet" (e.g., no mention and/or link as to how to find and/or view said broadcast...).
Drew Pierson was brought in, discussing the area, background, maintenance, etc.
About 95% of the audio (in my headsets) was clear and non echo'y.
Craig brought on Olivia, a 14 year old girl who described her experience in the general store; using dowsing rods which clearly were divining there was the presence of a ghost. She'd be on the investigation that night; Pat and Doug indicated they'd "have her covered," ghost investigation equipment wise. Olivia's mother Heather was brought on as well. Heather recounted on an earlier investigation with her husband (who's on the board of directors), that on checking out the blacksmith's, the cameras indicated the batteries were drained, but once they left, the cameras were fine. Another time she saw bonnets suspended from the ceiling moving and swaying in different directions with zero breeze of winds. The bonnets even moved in specific directions and such when verbally requested.
Pat and Doug were brought to finish up, as Henry brought up some of the EVPs Henry had previously been sent. The first was in the general store, Bruce was asking if any the Van Camps were there: "We all are"...
The next was a recording of peg-leg footsteps in the utterly otherwise empty store. The lengthy recording has the footsteps on the second floor and down the steps... stairs which were blocked... and across the wooden floor.
The websites were re-provided, and I gave out our sites and such, and Henry pointed out our upcoming guests (as listed at my online calendar page):
August 20 Paul Helyer
August 27 Candy O'Donnell
