Fourth return
My friend and ghost-author Marla Brooks invited me to be a guest for her Stirring the Cauldron show's Yule edition, declaring me part of her show's "para-x coven." With Ladean and Angela (Lodema) both being in the eastern time zone, it was arranged to pre-record it at 7pm their time; 4pm my and Marla's time. I raced home from my day-job and had my Skype finally up by 4pm on the nose. The show's producer Mike Leier called me in and we text-typed as we waited; he told me that the others were running a bit late, so we would begin recording at a quarter past.
It was another fast hour, and I was able to get in some majorly painful puns and word plays. The show would air December 24th; earlier in the day Marla and Mike pre-recorded the New Year's Eve show as well, which Mike deduced why this show was so "punchy" (e.g., more along the lines of punch-drunk).
The episode climaxed with Mike's rendition of The Night Before Solstice, which I believe Marla authored. After the hour was over and we spoke amongst ourselves, Mike playfully admonished Marla that he had not been provided a pronunciation key of some of the more arcane Deity names. Angela also bounded in, profusely apologizing for missing the show itself...
