The Second Amendment, which preserves Americans the right to keep and bear arms does not GRANT the Right, nor does it create it as a State-Granted "privilege." As with ALL enumerated [e.g., listed] rights within the Constitution for the united states of America, the right precedes the very creation of the Constitution.
This is why Socialists, communists and other anti-Americans currently in power, wish to take away this right for Americans' personal safety; those in power fear those who might be able to oppose their oppression/s.
Government exists for the sole purpose of protecting the rights of the individual. The Declaration of Independence clarifies is it the right and duty of Americans to overthrow its own government when said government becomes tyrannical. People should not fear their government; government should fear its People.
