Which is more fun for St. Patrick's Day: drinking alone, or drinking in the para-x.com chat room while listening to ''The Paranormal View''? Saturday March 17, 2011
St. Patrick's Day
It'd been decided earlier not to have a guest for the edition falling on St. Patrick's Day, we'd do a themed show to that effect. Henry had sent to Craig and me the current Drinking List, along with "Secret words [that] are also good only once and must be said by a guest; they are worth two drinks."
Drinking Words | Secret Words
Shamrock Pot of Gold
Rainbow Leap Castle
Troll Blarney Stone
St. Patrick Banshee [sic]
nymphs Dublin
fairies cork
elementals kilkarney
gnomes O'Brian
leprechauns O'Reily
brownies
hobbit
hobgoblin
elves
Henry had a "hidden word" that would be good for 3 drinks: Four leaf clover.
He added, "Remember to cross them off the list once they are said." Plus drinking would be for questions submitted from the chat room, etc.
Henry said that Reverend Tim Shaw would be dropping by, as well as Pat from Ghost Soldiers, and possibly Dave Jones.
Tim Shaw was called in just before we went on the air; for the show Tim was asked various things about Ireland about which he was a bit... well... he did his best.
Hearing the playback I was surprised that everyone's audio was pretty clear while I sounded like I was transmitting from inside a trash can.
Henry called in Patrick McCormack of Ghost Soldiers, who provided various aspects of Celtic folklore, including a large fae creature the description of which sounded suspiciously like a Sasquatch.
Henry reported tonight we had listeners from the US, Switzerland, Canada, and four in Other...
Speaking on the subject of nymphs, Patrick pointed out the Druidic background of early Erin (Ireland), and how nature spirits were very matter of fact.
Also discussed was the Blarney Stone, and that the Blarney Woolen Mill would be the place to visit; Irish teens like to go up to the Blarney Stone where they'd party, drink and then piss on the stone "for" the next day's tourists...
Patrick pointed out how awesome Ireland is as far as the paranormal goes; everyone Gets It that there's More to the world that naturally perceived. He spoke of Leap Castle and how haunted it is. He's also investigated Ashford Castle and such.
Patrick departed, preparing for his show following ours.
Tim was given time to give out his show's information and such.
We said our farewells to Tim Shaw and such, and wrapped out.
