Seventh Anniversary
Tonight's show was we hosts,
Henry,
Ceiling Cat Barbara,
and
myself,
celebrating the live radio show's seventh anniversary edition.
Kat
had spent the day at a Rhode Island comic convention.
Henry started out with one of the earliest openings of the show.
We figured our first time/s aware of the show and otherwise.
At first The Paranormal View aired from 10pm-12am without a formal structure, and whatever host was available to broadcast it.
Henry had become friends with
Dave Jones and Tommy Jones,
who got him to attend 2008
MidSouth
in Louisville.
Afterward Tommy emailed Henry about the
Sorg Opera House,
asking about contact info so they could conduct an investigation.
When it was set up, Henry was invited along, his misgivings notwithstanding.
In September 2008 they investigated the Sorg Opera House; Henry had procured a flashlight and digital recorder.
Henry's wife
Patsy
had learned about a haunted location: a friend's farmhouse.
Henry arrived for the Sorg investigation, and was surprised and impressed how many people had come from across the country.
They first went to dinner, and Tommy suggested that Henry host The Paranormal View.
So new to the paranormal, Henry wasn't sure he would fit the bill.
Henry went to the farmhouse with
Tim Shaw
and
Scotty Rorek.
They just did a few EVP sessions, in the cellar and such; a medium saw an older man with arm tattoos.
After that they headed to the opera house.
In its cellar, they did some table tipping, much to Henry's astonishment.
Henry gave the hosting offer consideration
Leeanne
and
Angela
suggested
Beth Brown.
After the two met spoke on the phone, she agreed to co-host with Henry.
The two also attended different events, and investigations.
Their first show as host was broadcast from
Fort Mifflin.
The original carrier for most of the show's that simulcast on para-x became less and less reliable, until they left CBS.
Late 2010
Beth
had chosen to move on, having
written books,
and moving into
media,
creating
TV pilots,
et al, so had to drop off as co-host.
Henry had enrolled me, and
Craig Rupp
as co-hosts.
Henry had me convey the
horror story of my first show
as co-host.
CC reported our having listeners tonight in the US, Australia, the UK, Canada, and Unknown...
CC and I spoke about Henry's way with language
(ironically towards the end of the show, he pronounced
Dalek
as "day leck"...);
she discussed her concepts about the paranormal, et al.
Henry spoke about his first show broadcast from Fort Mifflin, and their being able to broadcast live from many places.
He spoke about the show from
Dayton Lane.
He indicated when they'd investigated the
Pry House
the previous week,
Patrick McCormack
of
GhostSoldiers
was in the
http://paraxradionetwork.com/live.htm,
so Henry brought him on for reminiscing.
Patrick and I spoke about the
Jersey Devil.
Patrick brought up
a TV appearance
on
Cake Boss,
where they made a seven foot
Jersey Devil cake.
Henry conveyed our guest next week would be medium
Laine Crosby
author of
Investigative Medium - The Awakening.
I gave out my
Paranormal View hub
page on
my website,
that we're very
findable on Facebook,
and my Followable
Twitter presence,
I gave out as much of Kat's info I could hastily remember: her
website,
and her
@katklockow
information, and her being admin for the show's
@Paraviewradio
Twitter presence, and her
@jinxedcomic
Twitter account...
and we wrapped out.
