Donna Stewart
Tonight's we had Donna Stewart, author of Ghosthunting Oregon.
I provided the introduction, adding a tongue in cheek Deep Breath reference, airing later in the day (at the same time of our show, for the east coast), as moments before going on the air, we learned Donna was a fellow Doctor Who fan, also looking forward to tonight's series 8 premier.
Donna related in her teens she indicated getting EVPs while recording songs off the radio. Ten years ago, she cofounded PSI of Oregon.
Donna discussed varies aspects of her book such as the Shanghai Tunnels and former poorhouse (as well as former brothel) Edgefield Manor, clarifying that all the sites in the book are available to the public.
Stephen Hill in the chat room asked about any ghostly following from places; Donna indicated as the group they tell the ghosts Not To Follow them. Donna spoke of a ghost boy that's been at her place since they'd moved in. When they were very young, Donna's children could see him (and at very different ages). Even a guest once saw the boy walking down the hallway.
Donna went into some detail on the Hecida Head Lighthouse, and the White Eagle Saloon.
From the chat room, Donna's friend Sharon Kincaid asked what scares Donna on a location. Donna conveyed not having fear of ghosts or such, but when an auto-puff air fresheners go off, Donna will be creeped out. Kat reminded us of her not being a fan of bats.
As before the first break Donna mentioned fun issues with Skype with her own radio show, we briefly mentioned my first edition co-hosting the Paranormal View.
After the second break, Barbara reported that tonight we had listeners from the US, the UK, Canada, France, and again... Unknown.
Donna discussed the Heathman Hotel, and former clinic, now B&B Old Wheeler Hotel, the latter of which they got some good video of a ghost child.
Donna indicated her book having 33 chapters covering Oregon, divided into sections, with 100+ places listed with details, and a list of 50+ other places; available for pre-order, comes out September 16th. Donna is working on a second book, on cryptozoology.
