Steve Clark and Naomi Gorman
Tonight we welcomed the pleasant and amusing
Steve Clark
and
Naomi Gorman
of
STUR,
the
Seeking The Unknown Realm
online
radio show.
Steve and Naomo met investigating
Pennhurst Asylum:
Steve started out speaking of the house up in which he grew being quite haunted.
Naomi noticed a Yawn the rest of us didn't hear.
We pointed our having a live EVP taking place during the show would not be unprecedented.
On investigations, they use numerous tools including but not limited to rods, the
FLIR
thermal cam, K2 and Mel meters, IR cameras, etc.
They discussed some more unorthodox methods, including but not limited to submerging a recorder within a plastic bag.
At another investigation they tried having one team in a different part of the location suggest to the local entities to Go Do Something to the other team.
Kat
recommended peer review of investigation evidence.
Naomi spoke of their experiences at the haunted
Tilton Inn,
including but not limited to a heavy breath into the recorder, and catching a good photo of an Orb atop a bed along with a mist.
Later other investigators there also acquired EVPs including the same breath.
CC reported tonight our having listeners in the US, the UK, Canada, Germany, Costa Rica and the cryptic Unknown...
While my cat Pooka began to gnaw at my earbud mic,
Naomi and Steve discussed Ouija boards, and other ways of Opening Doorways, even as simple as asking a spirit for a response.
They also pointed out how some people all but become paranoid when it comes to Ouija and such.
Henry
asked how they differentiate their investigations between residential investigations as opposed to "big box" places such as
Pennhurst,
Waverly,
etc.
Naomi indicated their having a system to be in contact with other team members, and knowing their own voices to clarify if an EVP has been caught or just an investigator.
Before the second break, Henry announced that our
June 7th
show would be broadcast live from the
Bell Nursing Home.
Steve indicated their favourite places to investigated included but wasn't limited to
Seacoast Repertory Theatre
in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and the many tunnels beneath Portsmouth.
Naomi indicated their episode of
My Ghost Story S06E09
aka episode 64,
focusing on the
Seacoast Repertory Theatre.
They'd like to investigate
Alcatraz,
Ireland castles,
Gettysburg battlefields
and Ground Zero
in New York, though they realize so much hustle and bustle would make that one a bit more challenging.
Naomi indicated there being a jail done up as a castle, simply called the
Naval Prison
at the
Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
They discussed the origins of their
radio show.
One of their first guests was actor
Sean Whalen,
who I quickly learned was at the time had recently finished working on the project
The Divine Tragedies
written and directed by my friend
Jose Prendes.
Kat wondered if they'd encountered ghost at Pennhurt, as she was in the same tour at which were Steve and Naomi.
Steve and Naomi went to the
Mayflower building,
and heard a little girl voice they pursued.
For some reason the show's chat room went blewy towards the end of the show, though this would not affect the show's audio.
Steve and Naomi gave out their official
STUR site,
within which being the info on their
Seeking The Unknown Realm radio show;
also that one can just go to their
Facebook show page,
as well as
STURS PI Facebook page.
They added the following weekend that they would be at
Paranormal for Paws
from 1-7pm in Franklin, Mass.,
information on which also being on the
event's Facebook page.
Along with their
DTM radio family,
they would also be attending
Para-History Con 2
May 2-7, at the
Fort William Henry
in Lake George, New York; for a chance to win tickets to that event, one can email them at
intotheunknownrealm@gmail.com
(they suggested one hurry to enter, as they'd be announcing the winner Monday April 21st).
They will also be at
Ocean State ParaCon
July 19 and 20th, at the
Assembly Theatre
in
Harrisville, Rhode Island, at which events conveyed in the movie
The Conjuring
took place.
And obviously they'll be at the Paranormal Awards ceremony
June 21st in Manchester, New Hampshire, where they'll be presenting and performing, and for which they're nominated for Radio Show of the Year, and their team being nominated for EVPs of the Year, Interesting Video of the Year, Researcher of the Year, et al.
And Naomi was able to remember to plug people can/should
listen to their radio show
Monday nights.
Kat pointed out that she would be a guest on Steve and Naomi's show on May 12th.
I gave out the
Paranormal View hub page
on my website, indicating people from there can find the show's respective report pages,
that we're very
findable on Facebook,
the official
Paranormal View page
page.
Henry had waited to the very last second, so giving out all my stuff negated enough time for Kat to give out her
own websites,
or her
Miss Grey Smashword
site,
nor her being able to announce
The Paranormal View
being now on Twitter
under the name
@paraviewradio,
et al.
Henry managed to squeak in at the last second that our guest the next week would be
Barbara Condron
regarding
Dreams,
and we wrapped out.
