Dayton Lane
Tonight Henry and Kat broadcast live from
Dayton Lane Historic Area,
albeit with a bit of a technical hitch getting started.
They were at
Shuler Mansion,
owned by optomitrist
Dr. Thomas Nye.
OD.
Henry pointed out they're a few blocks from
Ryan's Tavern.
Ceiling Cat Barbara conveyed substantially more haunted history than I'd been able to uncover, as well as various local urban legends.
Kat was able to track down one about a motorcycle light approaching that vanishes before reaching its witnesses.
CC spoke about
Rosehill Cemetery
with its own ghostly hitchhiker story.
They also spoke of the famous mass murder
Rupert House,
which while in Hamilton, isn't really at Dayton Lane.
CC spoke about the ghosts of
Miami University's
Mosler, Phelps, Wilson Halls.
Kat gave a
historial run-down
on the building in which they were.
CC felt she Heard Something while Kat was talking, around the 0:45 minute mark.
Dr. Thomas Nye came on as a guest, just coming from being part of the investigation.
He reported some experiences, such as the on-off flashlight with "predictable responses," and while divining rods, which even he held and had them "spinning like a top" in his hands, much to his scientific-minded surprise.
Kat thought she heard a male moan as Dr. Nye spoke about ghostly grandchildren upstairs.
He also conveyed the genesis of the ghost walks, as he and friends one night speaking began swapping their paranormal experiences.
Also discussed was varied home renovations/restoration going on in the neighbourhood.
He's done a lot of
historical local investigating.
CC pointed out tonight we had listeners in the US, the UK, Canada, the Netherlands and France.
From his offices on the second floor Dr. Nye indicating occasionally hearing hallway footsteps, and, not checking,, thought it was one of his tenants.
During one of the ghost walks his second floor tenant conveyed hearing hallway footsteps, thinking it was the Doctor...
The Doctor spoke of a
previous investigation
before heading off for the evening's second investigation, and we had our only break of the evening after which we had
Lynn Bell
of
TriOPS Paranormal
come on, discussing her psychic impressions of the place, as well as her investigative background.
One of the ghost tour guides,
Dan Graham
of 1003 Dayton Street,
one of the haunted homes on the ghost tour, who's had numerous experiences.
Literally going overtime tonight, we wrapped rather quickly, meaning I/we were not able to provide
my Paranormal View hub page
on my website, indicating people from there can find the show's
official site,
that we're findable
on Facebook,
et al, and Kat was not have to provide her own
website
and
Facebook information.
