John Maxwell
Tonight we had
John Maxwell
of
Headstone Healers of Indiana,
founded by John and his friend Tracy Wilson, their having noticed in many of the cemeteries to which they'd go in Owen County, Indiana, there were many headstones that had fallen, broken, or covered by overgrowth.
Their mission, having chosen to accept it, is to clean, repair, photograph and map these final resting places and help restore the headstones to their former condition.
The group never charges for working on Military headstone/markers and covers their cost by putting in that fund all donations and profits from work done on personal headstones.
He first noticed such condition in Old Riverside Cemetery.
CC asked which stone was his favourite; he has one but didn't want to paraphrase it.
CC mentioned the Facebook group
Cemetery Oddities.
He spoke about the cleaning fluids they use to repair the stones such as
D/2,
and over the course of six months reclaiming its original whiteness.
He clarified they've as yet not worked on statuary.
As CC was in her element with this topic, they discussed the various types of markers, like White Bronze.
In John's area there are 163 cemeteries, many in which are family plots that weren't done on their personal property.
Due to
the FCC
pretending that online radio show are over-the-air radio shows, they demanded a license fee for musical usage.
Para-X's Dave had offered to pay it, but the FCC pretended it had jurisdiction over retroactive licensing that understandably, no human can afford, so now para-x shows can contain no
(licensed, non-public doman)
music.
This took off the air the
Ghost Soldiers
music show.
Coming back from the first break, CC reported tonight our having listeners in the US, Germany, Ireland, Australia and Canada.
They discussed various state laws regarding cemeteries.
If graves are on private property, the land owners can even prevent former-owner family members from visiting.
The oldest gravesites across which he's come were from the 1810s.
I mentioned how in
my home town
the
churchyard
having
stones from the 1700s.
Also discussed was about mass graves, generally from the war between the states, and between issues with Skype, the distinctions between types of stones used was also brought up.
CC clarified it wasn't really the FCC but some other evil government agency demanding money for "permission" to use music
(about which
Al Lewis' comment
still stands...)
John gave out his
website
and the group's
Facebook page.
I provided the show's various page locations;
my site's
Paranormal View hub page,
the show's
official site,
that we're findable
on Facebook,
et al,
my now
having a dedicated Wiki page,
my having officially landed the big role in the indie feature film
Everything
going before the cameras in a month or three.
Kat
gave out her
her own website
and her
Miss Grey graphic novel.
CC indicated the implication of having
a Facebook page
on which are cemetery photos, mostly.
Henry pointed that the next week we'd have
Stan Gordon
of
Pennsylvania MUFON
and we wrapped out.
