The Dim-Sum editon of The Paranormal View....
Tonight's guest would be
Jeff Wamsley
of the
Mothman Festival.
Just before showtime, Henry tried a few times but Jeff did not pick up.
Trying again a half hour into the show, we had to write him off.
SO we spoke of Other Stuff.
Henry pointed out for the
September 09, 2012
edition would be live broadcast from the famous
Ryan's Tavern,
Kat indicated appearing
September 15, 2012
at the very haunted
Bobby Mackey's
from 3-7pm.
Kat took the
Cincinatti Ghost Tour
during which they visited a defunct Goth Bar which is haunted, also containing the largest Indoor Beer Garden in America.
I was able to make some jokes and word plays, making Kat and CC consider again procuring the classic
rim shot
sound effect to use...
Mothman was discussed, Kat pointed out it was investigated on
Monster Quest season 4 episode 5,
and she put up sketches at
her website
Henry pointed out we had listeners in the US, the UK, and to our surprise, Saudi Arabia.
Henry relayed that this evening we had listeners from the US, the UK and Canada.
Ceiling Cat pointed out there would be a
tickets
for the autumn
Cryptid Fest
Saturday, September 8, 2011 at 1:00 PM through Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 10:00am
in
Atoka, Oklahoma.
Kat spoke of the folklore
Tenuki,
known as the raccoon-dog,
sitting outside Japanese restaurants, particularly if they serve alcohol.
It's a shape-shifter, using a magickal leaf, and becomes what it wants to become.
Sometimes it shifts into a female and mates with human males, et al.
A natural redhead, Kat had "issues" when living in Japan.
Under the age of 40 people had no problem, but one day heading to the subway to school, and an older gentleman freaked out, even falling over the bike by crashing into a wall.
Her redhead implied she was a Shape-Shifting Fox.
Kat spoke of the famous
haunted forest
in Japan called
Aokigahara
(aka the
Sea of Trees),
she also spoke of the
Gaki,
a hungry-ghost; the flying
Tengu,
a creature that abducts humans who have no recollection of their time being taken;
also on the
Kappa,
a water imp, which really like cucumbers... that is, if you offer one a cucumber your life will be spared.
Also by bowing will have it bow, and the water it requires on top of its head will slip off, and it will return to the water, giving you time to flee.
I provided the show's various page locations
(my hub page,
the show's
official site,
that we're findable on
on Facebook),
et al;
though Kat actually didn't have time to provide
her website
information during the show itself tonight).
