The Haunted Housewives
Tonight's guest was the one and only
Reverend Tim Shaw
The Black Cat Lounge
discussing his new book about the
Ghosts of Buffalo...
Henry started off wishing good health to Tim's wife Nancy what with some recent exploratory surgery.
Tim started off with high praise for the three of us.
Henry inquired after Tim's book's chapter on Visiting Spiritual Personalities which Tim explained being
(usually family member),
entities that only come to the earth plane to visit, that they're not out to "haunt" and such.
I indicated how impress was I about his describing different catagories of entities, and he explained the genesis of the book.
Henry asked about Self Earthbound spirits, which Tim explained there are few "trapped" spirits, they may be confused,
having unfinished business, fear of a unpleasant Next Phase of Existence, etc., and that such entities can sometimes cause paranormal
activity and often are confused with poltergeists.
Tim also spoke of Animal Spirits, that there are vibrational imprints of animals and such.
He spoke of having a probable animal spirit visit when he did his most recent October-end seance.
I told him about the ghost dog on the Queen Mary,
and Tim said while investigating the
he experienced activity but also had no equipment running.
After Tim spoke of his friend, author
for a bit,
Henry steered back to Tim's book, asking about Addictive Entities, which Tim conveyed being entities being similar to psychic vampirism;
attracted to the living who may share similar addictions they'd had in life, and that sometimes they may possess an addict's body in order to “physically feel” the effects of whatever is their victim's current addiction.
He went on about Human Poltergeists, which generally centers around a single girl.
Kat in the chat room asked whether people may be negative enough they almost deliberately attractive negative entities.
Tim reminded every Not To Be A Victim.
He's come across enough hoaxes doing residential investigations, that he rarely does them any more; even
concurred with Tim that Tim doesn't owe these people anything.
Tim understandably also hates how phoney are most of the Ghost Reality shows.
Henry had Craig take us out to break, at the end of which I happened to have half a mouthful of crackers...
Nyla in the chat room asked about repeat EVPs which Tim acknowledge, such as the Buffalo Central Terminal, later which he went into greater detail.
He posited that ley lines might contribute to such activity.
Craig and Tim spoke of the Forest Lawn Cemetary there, across from the crematorium of which there's a neolithic burial mound that even the local Native Americans hadn't made.
They also discussed the battles of Williamsville, New York, as well as Fort Niagra, which Tim found extremely haunted.
Tim has no problem declaring that he can be scared enough during investigation/s that he might and sometimes does, flee
(he even fled what seemed to be a Shadow Person at Waverly).
I took us into the second break, coming back from which Henry reported out having listeners from the US, the UK, Canada and once again... Other.
Tim answered a chat room question from Yeti about various cultural influences.
The book went into the
(probable urban legend)
story of the Sugar Road "Vanishing Hitchhiker," and the red rose...
As well as other urban legends, as Tim loves that aspect American mythology, as they're just fun.
Craig had Tim discuss the Lancaster Opera House and the Shea's Buffalo Theatre, and he related some of his eventful visits thereto.
I'd asked about the IR equipment he'd said which he'd given away... he did exactly that.
He does use Full Spectrum camera/s, as Sony annoyingly no longer makes IR cameras.
Before we ran out of time, Henry asked after the
German Roman Catholic orphanage,
which Tim indicated indeed having ghost children, plus
(though he didn't get into detail about its location himself),
making several apartments
Tim also went into detail about activity aboard the
in the Buffalo shipyard: battery drains, ghostly ensign, unexplained metal tapping, etc.
Henry closed out the show announcing that next week our guest would be
discussing her book
The Ghosts of Las Vegas
I hastily endevoured to give our my URL information, but I told Tim that next time he comes on, we'd discuss
"Please, talk with me,"
the paranormal, independent film recreating the 1985 events surrounding the photograph that has become known across the internet as the 'C2D1 Ghost'
(the film's original working title was Erie Hall),
which Tim concurred Anytime.
Tim quickly pointed out that on Saturday the 19th,
(from 9pm until Whenever),
Tim's broadcasting/doing a
Marjoram Manor Winery
with the Buffalo based group
Tim thanked us again profusely as we managed to end spot-on at the top of hour.
