The Crump Theatre
I was attending
STU Con 2
at
Linda Vista Hospital
this date,
(running across friends such as
Sarah Troop
and
Donn Shy
et al),
whilst Henry was having a few trickiness of his own.
Originally set for a live broadcast from the
Crump Theatre
(which Henry started out pronouncing as the Trump Theatre [oops]...),
he couldn't get a viable connection, so had to head back home and do the show from there.
Henry welcomed Craig and while apologizing for my absense, was under the impression I'd not planned to call in.
Henry introduced guest and chat-room regular
Karin
who provided some background history of the building.
Unable to bring the phone too far into the building without losing the cell signal, Karin passed off to
Steph
who described other aspects of the structure.
After a few minutes she brought on
Scott,
who described some of the former segrational aspects the theatre used to employ.
They'd brought a
hack-box
but with such limited radio stations it was not very useful.
They also discussed
Craig's recent Antietam and Gettysburg investigation
with
Sandiee Peters,
about which they'd spoke a few nights earlier on
Sandiee's show.
Scott passed it off to
Dave,
who conveyed some of the Fun they'd been having, then returned it to Karin.
Henry took them to break whilst Karin headed back to find someone else with whom to speak.
Back from break they spoke with
Don,
describing some of the equipment he'd been using that night, and how they were showing around some ghost investigator newbies that were with them.
As the hospital investigation would not be for hours into the night, at one point around the one hour mark I called in;
Henry took the call, asking to call me back "in a few minutes."
Turned out, as is often the case, Skype was creating some issues for the show.
Henry went to break, and at the one hour seventeen minute point in the show, he called me back.
With my phone on vibrate
(and being held in my hand),
I hastened back outside and I was able to chat for a few minutes on the show, during which
Henry relayed that we had listeners in the US, UK, Canada, Australi, Norway, Ireland, Netherlands and Finland.
Henry asked if I'd done a western, and I completely forgot about working on the feature film
Jonah Hex,
which probably "doesn't count" anyway due to my not being visible in it.
I did speak of the student film
For Whom the Bell Tolls
on which I worked.
After I had to leave
(my cell phone's power level was lower than I'd have liked),
they got ahold of Karin again, who passed the phone over to newbie
Kate
who'd gotten her name called on the hack-box.
Time ran out and Henry apologized that he wasn't able to speak to everyone on the hunt.
Henry reminded next week Craig would be investigating on-air live at
Red Mill,
and he and Craig thanked every listener around the world and in the chat room and such.
