Filling in fun
Some weeks earlier during a
Para-X
radio show,
The Paranormal View
co-host
Henry Foister
Private Messaged me about guest co-hosting the show as that day the show's co-host
Beth Brown
would be unavailable.
Beth and I had met
finally a few weeks earlier when she visited Los Angeles for a project, and as a guest
I'd once appeared on their show,
I was all for it.
The Paranormal View
is one of the few two-hour shows on para-x.
Henry notified me a week or so earlier that our guest would be
Donn Shy,
who I'd met at her
Queen Mary paranormal conference
the weekend of April 30/May 1st.
Around 4:40pm I was home and switched on my Skype, and Henry called for us to be set for the two hour show
(the show airs from 5-7pm pacific time, though para-x "only" lists eastern time
[in this case, 8-10pm]
on its site).
He brought in Donn in Conference Call mode, and at 5pm
(Donn and my time),
we were on the air.
Notwithstanding on the show's
blog entry
my given name is misspelled as
Goeffrey,
and at the opening of the show Henry started out by introducing me as
Barger
(even saying it that way a second, possibly third time),
the show went well.
I jokingly pointed out Beth was gonna smack him upside the head when she heard that, and in the chat room Henry's wife Nyla comically indicated she'd be doing the same thing.
During the show Donn and I spoke about her Queen Mary event, and her work with the
Pasadena Ghost Hunters.
At one point I went a long way for a stupid joke: Donn had mentioned staying in a hotel in Volcano, California, and her haunted experience there.
Later I asked where was Volcano, and after she went on about its location, the sense one gets there, etc., I simply asked if they produced
Lava Lamps...
The two hour show flew by, and once it's archived as a podcast there will be a link to it, once it is available.
