A mere nine month wait
After a long hiatus
(since November 21st),
I got a call last night, notifying me I was booked on a new Will Smith film titled Seven Pounds, which also stars Rosario Dawson and Woody Harrelson, though the latter two were not there today.
I arrived at my 7am calltime downtown around 6:15am, though there was no sign-in at the parking area until 7am, and breakfast catering was at the location several blocks south. Once signed in, we went through wardrobe and hair/make-up, then shuttled to the location, where the "caterer" decided not to allow a choice: scrambled eggs were scrambled eggs with ham mixed in. Not scrambled eggs and scrambled eggs with ham. Just scrambled eggs with ham. Thanks. While not Jewish myself, I prefer my scrambled eggs as Just Scrambled Eggs thankyouverymuch. I ate considerably more bacon and sausages than usual, as I chose not to have ham-flavoured scrambled eggs.
I was to be a Social Services staffer: I should mention my grey suit was loved and declared "fabulous" by wardrobe [g].
As always, I never reveal story spoilers, even when I know them [bg].
I am in a single scene'd Social Services building, in the interview offices.
Will meets with an old friend for a favour, whilest a desk in front of his friend's, and one over to the left, is my desk, at which I'm interviewing a woman named Betty (I'd written down her surname but cannot find it).
Generally it mostly is the back of my head and possibly occasionally the side of my face...
With a December 12, 2008 release date, Seven Pounds is directed by Gabriele Muccino and written by sitcom writer Grant Nieporte.
Our background wrangler in the office mostly was the affable and occasionally quite amusing Michael Crotty.
Networking:
Early in the day I met the lovely musician and ice-blue eyed Virgo Lisa, with who we quickly learned we were into various similar interests, such as Art Bell's Coast to Coast radio show.
As Lisa is also pro-freedom (and being a fellow Ron Paul supporter, demonstrating a high level of intelligence), I provided her with the information on the Dave Champion Show as well as his formerly titled radio show American Radio Show.
(And with its "last"
Los Angeles screening in mid-April,
I also furnished her with the promo card for Strictly Background.)
I also met the pleasant Michelle Rivera, just shy of her third SAG voucher.
Very pretty and pleasant (and, being a Libra, safe from my ever "hitting on her" J
), I also provided her with the Strictly Background information, and acquired her MySpace profile location, in case something comes up for which I can recommend her.

Friday December 19th
Screening/s
This was the
(updated)
release date for both
Seven Pounds
and
Yes Man,
both on which I worked.
As a Yule gift, I took my producer friend that evening to
see both features,
catching
Seven Pounds
at 6:20pm
and
Yes Man
at 8:45pm.
We chose the order in case
Seven Pounds
was "too much" drama, which it somewhat proved to be.
The back of my head was very visible during the Social Services scene.
Thankfully,
Yes Man
was thoroughly
hilarious,
which cheered back up my friend considerably.
The restaurant-cabin scene was slightly more streamlined than all that was filmed, but I was briefly visible and my friend even spotted me.
Of the two, I most likely would Netflix
Seven Pounds
and possibly even purchase the
Yes Man
DVD.
